LeSean McCoy slams Pro Football Focus as ‘Bunch of nerds’ after ‘Top 101’ snub

LeSean McCoy

The folks at Pro Football Focus have angered one LeSean McCoy, who was not included in their Top 101 players from the 2016 NFL season list.

McCoy (who believes he is the best running back in the league) responded to this snub with a bit of shady stone-throwing.

To be fair, if this scribe were compiling a list of the NFL’s top 101 players, McCoy would have landed on it at some point. He had a tremendous season for the Buffalo Bills, rushing for 1,267 yards and 13 touchdowns while adding another 356 yards and a touchdown on 50 receptions.

But this scribe doesn’t adhere to the strict grading principles that govern the way Pro Football Focus ranks players.

It must have really rankled McCoy to have seen the likes of Jordan Howard and Jay Ajayi land on this list while he was conspicuously left off of it. For the record, McCoy was rated as the No. 6 running back in the NFL this past season by PFF behind Le’Veon Bell, Ezekiel Elliott, Jay Ajayi, David Johnson and Melvin Gordon.

So, it’s not like he was considered to be a bad player. He just didn’t fit into their list of the top 101 players at every position.

And he let everyone know about it, albeit in a childish and petulant manner.
