The Cleveland Cavaliers will head into Tuesday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves without forward Kevin Love, who is dealing with knee pain.
According to Brian Mahoney of the Associated Press, Love will be evaluated the “next several days” and could miss out on the All-Star Game.
Love has played in 46 of the team’s 53 games this year, averaging 20 points, 11.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists and nearly one steal per game. It’s been his best statistical season to date with the Cavs since being traded to Cleveland from the Timberwolves.
Despite his production, Love has been the subject of some trade rumors, most notably as a potential replacement for Carmelo Anthony in New York.
Interestingly enough, if he is not able to play in the upcoming All-Star Game, it could open the door for ‘Melo to make an appearance and further his All-Star streak.
If Love can't play and injury replacement is needed, maybe still opens the door for Carmelo to extend his All-Star Game streak.

Recently, Love was also dealing with a back injury that caused him to miss some time, though it was a short-term issue that resolved itself, much like the Cavaliers surely hope happens with this latest health setback.
