Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook dined at same restaurant Saturday night

Despite their strained relationship, Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant just can’t seem to avoid one another, either on or off the court.

Durant and the Golden State Warriors visited Oklahoma City Saturday night for a much publicized game against the Thunder. It was Durant’s first trip back to the city he used to represent, and he was met with plenty of boos throughout the contest.

He also was the subject of some incredible signage and one particularly clever jersey alteration.

Despite the negative vibes, Durant exploded with 34 points to lead the Warriors to a blowout victory, 130-114, over his former squad.

After the big win, Durant and several of his Warriors teammates settled in at Mahogany Prime Steakhouse

Durant’s representatives tried to rent out a few weeks ago but was denied by owner Dave Osborn, per to ESPN’s Royce Young. Osborn told him his take would have been between $30,000 to $35,000 if he had said yes.

“I thought about it but I said, no I can’t do that, because I have Thunder players that come in after games,” Osborn said. “Thunder players come in, fans come in, so I just said, ‘I can’t do that to them. It wouldn’t be fair.'”

True to form, Durant and his Warriors teammates were joined at the establishment by none other than Westbrook. He was seated in a different section of the restaurant and would not interact with his old running mate.

Shocker, right?

Westbrook hasn’t hid his feelings of rejection ever since Durant jumped ship to join up with Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Matthews and Co. Reports have come out that Durant told Westbrook he was going to be back for the 2016-17 season before ultimately choosing Golden State, and the two players haven’t had a harmonious relationship since then.

Despite all that, they apparently still share the same post-game preferences. Though we’re betting there was a fair amount of awkwardness at Mahogany Saturday night.
