Johnny Manziel says NFL can’t be trusted

Johnny Manziel

NFL free agent quarterback Johnny Manziel really does not have much to lose if he wants to speak his mind.

Manziel appeared in court on Tuesday and had this to spill about the NFL’s procedures and processes.

“I don’t necessarily always believe in what the NFL does and have a lot of trust with them based on past situations … based on other players how they’ve gotten treated, Manziel said per TMZ Sports.”

Manziel was in court because the judge was concerned that the young quarterback may have drifted off course. The appearance was related to Manziel’s 2016 domestic violence case involving his his ex-girlfriend.

Per TMZ, Manziel also claimed that dealing with the NFL and the NFLPA is a “slippery thing.”

Despite Manziel trashing the league’s brass, the court visit went well. Manziel recently decided to get himself sober and has been spotted working out in an attempt to better his life.

His ultimate goal is to play football again. If he stays clean and keeps on course, Manziel might just find his way back under center.
