Former NFL Player Trent Richardson arrested on domestic violence charges

Former University of Alabama running back Trent Richardson has been arrested in Hoover, Alabama on a domestic violence charges.

According to Hoover police Captain Gregg Rector, officers responded to two calls involving Richardson and an adult female.

“After interviewing both of them, officers determined the two had been arguing earlier while at the Walmart on John Hawkins Parkway,” Carol Robinson of AL.com reported. “The dispute then apparently continued after they arrived back at the hotel. … At some point the situation turned physical, Rector said, and the female sustained injuries – scratches and bruising- to her face.”

Of course, the situation is a long way from being resolved. But right now, it’s certainly not a good look for Richardson.

Richardson was drafted third overall in 2012 by the Cleveland Browns. After a decent rookie season, he was traded to the Indianapolis Colts, where he remained through 2014. Richardson spent the 2015 preseason with the Oakland Raiders and 2016 with the Baltimore Ravens, but didn’t make either team.

We will have more information when it becomes available.
