This play against the Tennessee Titans could have gone much better for Tom Savage. In fact, it couldn’t have gone much worse for the Houston Texans quarterback.

The good news for Savage and the Texans? Houston is locked into the No. 4 seed. So, this game really doesn’t amount to much more than a glorified preseason game.
The bad news is that this isn’t exactly what the Texans want to see heading into the playoffs. Week 17 doesn’t mean a heck of a lot. Wild Card Weekend will be far less forgiving.
Quarterbacks in general can’t make mistakes like this. But as Savage isn’t going to be winning many games with his arm, mistakes like this are especially costly for him and his team.
