Fan pays $52,000 for four court-side tickets to Warriors-Cavs game

If you don’t think the Golden State Warriors’ home game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Martin Luther King Jr. Day is the hottest ticket in town, get a load of this.

According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, a fan paid over $52,000 for four court-side tickets to the game featuring the opponents in the past two NBA Finals.

It’s a regular season game with nothing more than bragging rights on the line.

This comes less than a month after Cleveland handed the Warriors one of their six losses on the season in what was a hotly-contested affair on Christmas.

Now with the Warriors looking to exact revenge on their home court, this promises to be one of the most drama-filled regular season games in recent Association history.

Golden State took out LeBron James and the Cavaliers in the 2015 NBA Finals. They then opened up a 3-1 series lead in the 2016 Finals before James and Co. pulled off one of the greatest comebacks in history, winning the final three games of the series.

The added dimension here is Kevin Durant’s presence in Oakland. Look for him and James to go at it on a consistent basis in a matchup that features five of the top players in the Association.

Though, there’s one overriding question that needs to be answered here. If tickets for a regular season game is going for this price, just how expensive would they be for a potential NBA Finals rematch between these two teams?
