Falcons G Andy Levitre’s wife watched entire playoff game while in labor

About half of the population out there can probably relate with labor pain. Sucking it up and enduring what was nearly three hours of battle time, the wife of Atlanta Falcons guard Andy Levitre watched last week’s playoff game while in labor.

“My wife went into labor right before the game started. She came to the game and sat through the game while she was in labor, Levitre per Cody Chaffins of Fox 5 in Atlanta.”

According to the report, Levitre was not aware his wife was in labor prior the game. He had to learn from a staff member of the Falcons after the game ended. After beating the Seattle Seahawks in the divisional playoffs, Levitre and his wife stopped at home briefly before heading to the hospital, per Chaffins.

It took until 12:07 a.m. on the morning of January 15 to welcome little Lily Gene Levitre into the world. Levitre posted this adorable picture to his Instagram account after the birth.

Levitre gave his wife some much-needed kudos for what had to be a really painful experience to endure.

“She’s taking one for the team, literally,” says Levitre. “I really appreciate what she’s doing for me.”

What an awesome story. Levitre will take the field once again this Sunday when the Falcons host the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship game.
