Drew Brees partners with five New Orleans area Dunkin’ Donuts chains

Drew Brees

The New Orleans Saints NFL season is officially over. And, it appears that quarterback Drew Brees has wasted no time sparking up another offseason business venture. This time it is with Dunkin’ Donuts.

Yes. Brees struck up a sweet deal that will see five new Dunkin’ Donuts stores open in Baton Rouge and the NOLA surrounding areas. It would appear that even more are still to come.

“Drew has proven his commitment to New Orleans — both on and off the field — and we couldn’t ask for a better partner to help expand Dunkin’ Donuts’ presence in Louisiana,” Vik Patel, the CEO at Bourbon Street Donuts, LLC, said in a statement, per Mike Triplett of ESPN.

Brees is not new to the food industry though. He also owns multiple Jimmy John’s sandwich shops in the state of Louisiana, according to the report.

The veteran quarterback can perhaps now relax a little bit and enjoy one of those yummy looking No. 9 donuts now that he just finished another 5,000-plus yard season. At 37 and still going strong, Brees will be entering his 17th season in the NFL next fall.
