Former Denver Broncos quarterback Brock Osweiler sent a touching message to Gary Kubiak, who officially announced his retirement on Monday.

Osweiler, through his Instagram account, featured a tremendous picture of himself and Kubiak and penned a nice letter to wish him well.

This is significant when you consider Kubiak benched Osweiler in Week 17 of the 2015 season in favor of Peyton Manning. Of course, as we know Manning came into the game and led a comeback win over the San Diego Chargers, spurring his magical run to win a second NFL championship before he retired.

After the season, Osweiler didn’t hide the fact that he was bitter about being pulled out of the game, even though he wasn’t playing poorly. It was the biggest reason he’s now with the Houston Texans, rather than remaining in Denver for the 2016 season and beyond.

No matter what you think about his ability to play quarterback at the NFL level, Osweiler showed some serious class here.
