Andrew Bogut doesn’t seem too thrilled with being on the Mavericks

Andrew Bogut

Dallas Mavericks center Andrew Bogut was a member of the Golden State Warriors’ squads that went a combined 140-24 over the past two seasons. He enjoyed two Western Conference titles and an NBA title during that span.

Unfortunately for the Aussie, he was sent to the Dallas Mavericks as part of a cap purge for the Warriors to bring in Kevin Durant during the summer.

Now in Dallas, Bogut is a member of a Mavericks squad that boasts an 11-24 record. Meanwhile, his former Warriors team leads the Association with a 31-5 mark.

Needless to say, Bogut is dreaming about the day when he can leave Dallas for another squad, even potentially his old Warriors team.

“Thankfully, I’m a free agent here, so I only have a couple of months more here and then will most likely move on,” Bogut told Australia’s Sky Sports Radio (h/t ESPN.com). “I don’t see myself hanging around with everything that’s gone on. It will be an interesting six months ahead.”

Well then, tell us how you really feel.

Bogut is set to become a free agent following this season and is earning $11 million in base salary. His contract could very well prove to be valuable. Though, if the Mavericks are unable to trade Bogut before the February deadline, there’s a chance they could renounce his rights altogether. That would enable the former No. 1 overall pick to decide where he goes.

Bogut, relegated to bench duties this season, is averaging 3.3 points and 9.7 rebounds.
