WATCH: Titans beat Chiefs on 53-yard Ryan Succop field goal

The Tennessee Titans trailed for nearly all of their game against the Kansas City Chiefs. But the Titans were saved by a walkoff field goal from former Chief, Ryan Succop.

The Titans never actually spent a second of game time with a lead. Kansas City scored on a long touchdown run from Tyreek Hill early in the game (watch here) and led throughout. The Chiefs led 14-0 after the first quarter and 17-7 after both the second and third quarters.

Succop had previously missed the would be game winning attempt. Unfortunately for Kansas City, the Tennessee kicker was bailed out by an “ice the kicker” time out from Andy Reid.

Succop kicked for the Chiefs from 2009-2013 after the team made him Mr. Irrelevant with the final pick of the 2009 NFL Draft. There was nothing irrelevant about Succop in Week 15, though, and he kept Tennessee’s playoff hopes alive and well.
