Report: LeBron James, others excused from staying with team at Trump hotel

LeBron James

LeBron James and other Cleveland Cavaliers players have reportedly been excused from staying with the club at a hotel owned by president-elect Donald Trump.

Cleveland is on the road for a game against the New York Knicks. The team has a contract to stay at the Trump SoHo hotel in lower Manhattan, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN.

James, who publicly came out to stump for Hillary Clinton before the general election in November, is not interested in staying at a hotel owned by Trump. Not surprisingly, the team granted him, and other players, permission to find their own accommodations for this trip.

James also had a hand, reportedly, in urging Justin Bieber to stay away from the RNC this year after the pop start was offered millions to perform in Ohio.

Needless to say, he’s no fan of Trump. And this is just one more way for James to express his displeasure that Trump is going to be the next President of the United States of America.
