The Philadelphia Eagles will be without running back Darren Sproles, who’s been ruled out with a concussion, this Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens
Coach Pederson: Barbre (hamstring) will be questionable for Sunday. Sproles (concussion) and Vaitai (knee) are OUT.

The concussion that is keeping the veteran back from playing was suffered on one of the dirtiest hits we’ve seen all year. Last weekend against Washington, Sproles was waiting a punt when he was drilled on a helmet-to-helmet hit by Deshazor Everett before the ball ever arrived.

It was apparent from the moment he hit the ground that Sproles was not well. It was bad enough that we wouldn’t be surprised if Sproles was shelved for the rest of the year to ensure he does not take another shot to the head.
The Eagles, at 5-8, are pretty much done this year as far as playoff contention is concerned as the No. 13 seed in the NFC, meaning the decision to sit out the rest of the year might be easier. We hope he takes the safe path here.
