Dalvin Cook declares for 2017 NFL Draft

After three glorious seasons at Florida State, junior running back Dalvin Cook has declared for the 2017 NFL Draft, foregoing his final year of eligibility.

Cook announced his decision via his Instagram account.

A tremendous talent, Cook will be coveted by many NFL teams in need of help at the running back position. A player who possesses the patience, vision and burst to thrive as an in-between-the tackles runner, he also has home-run speed and a tremendous talent for catching the ball.

In his three seasons at Florida State, Cook dominated the ACC. He rushed for 4,464 yards and 46 touchdowns, adding another 935 yards and two touchdowns on 79 receptions.

Cook finished off his career with a tremendous game in the Orange Bowl against one of the nation’s toughest run defenses. Torching Michigan for 207 yards from scrimmage and one touchdown run, he helped Florida State win by the thinnest of margins, 33-32.

Though Leonard Fournette is viewed as the top running back prospect by pretty much every talent evaluator out there, Cook isn’t far behind. Because he’s a true three-down back, he could even be higher on some team’s board. Don’t be surprised if this talented back hears his name called in the first round this April.
