It’s the season of sharing and giving. From now until the end of the year, we will hear uplifting stories of professional athletes working within their communities to help those less fortunate.
Though, it’s always nice to see these athletes go with the hands-on approach. Getting themselves dirty to work within the local communities. That’s literally what Houston Texans defensive tackle Vince Wilfork did on Tuesday, hand delivering hundreds of turkeys to the Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church in Houston.

First in New England and now in Houston, Wilfork has long made it a point to help those less fortunate off the field. He set up the Vince Wilfork Foundation years back. The goal of that organization is to help fund diabetes research and provide financial assistance for disadvantaged children.
Let’s be honest here. Providing over 800 turkeys to families that might otherwise go without a Thanksgiving dinner is pretty great. Hand delivering them makes this so much more awesome.
