Already ahead, the New Orleans Saints padded their lead over the Carolina Panthers when Drew Brees found Brandin Cooks down the sideline.
Cooks cruised into the end zone for an 87-yard score.

Taking nothing away from Cooks for getting open or Brees for making the pass, what in the world has happened to the Carolina’ defense? It shouldn’t be that easy to score from deep in your own territory against anyone, let alone a defense that was in the Super Bowl last year.
New Orleans added another touchdown early in the second quarter to go up 21-0.
