WATCH: Jabrill Peppers returns fumble 87 yards for defensive PAT

Jabrill Peppers

Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio made a ridiculous coaching error at the end of Saturday’s rivalry game against Michigan, and Heisman candidate Jabrill Peppers took full advantage.

Having cut the score to one touchdown, Dantonio called for a two-point conversion attempt.

He chose…poorly.

Pitching the ball out to the right side, quarterback Tyler O’Connor watched as the ball hit the turf instead of landing in the arms of his intended target. Peppers happily scooped it up and scampered 87 yards, uncontested, to give Michigan the nine-point, 32-23 win over its in-state rival.

It also gave Peppers yet another huge highlight to add to his growing collection — one that could make him a legitimate Heisman finalist in December.
