Dak Prescott breaks Tom Brady’s record with 163 interception-free attempts

Dak Prescott

Dak Prescott has been phenomenal all year for the Dallas Cowboys. His excellence was highlighted Sunday against the Green Bay Packers when he broke Tom Brady’s NFL record by completing 163 passes without a single interception.

Shortly after breaking this record, Prescott turned the ball over after the ball was stripped from him on a sack. Joe Thomas of the Packers recovered the ball and it appeared to be an interception, but it was ultimately ruled a fumble.

So the streak continues.

The Cowboys have quite the dilemma brewing about their quarterback situation.

Veteran Tony Romo is nearly ready to return. He’s targeting Week 8 or Week 9 to get back into the action for Dallas. But recently owner Jerry Jones acknowledged the stickiness of the situation and has been leaving the door cracked for Prescott to remain the starter for the Cowboys moving forward (more on that here).

Prescott has been practically flawless for Dallas since taking over for Romo after he broke a bone in his back. The Cowboys entered Week 6 with a record of 4-1. If they win again in Green Bay, it’s going to be hard to envision the rookie losing the job on such a hot streak with what will be five wins in a row.

One thing we know for sure, the fourth-round pick out of Mississippi State is no average rookie. He’s been showing this all year long, and now he has another record to prove it.
