From being selected first overall in the 2011 NFL Draft to leading the Carolina Panthers to a spot in Superbowl 50, Cam Newton has etched his name in the hearts and minds of the Panthers fans and franchise.
After today, that name sits atop the Carolina record books as the franchise’s all-time leader in passing yards.

From Kerry Collins to Jake Delhomme, Carolina has seen a plethora of strong-armed quarterbacks seize the starting role since the franchise’s inaugural season. But none have been as prolific as Newton.
While many expected the dual-threat quarterback to be more of a major running threat, he is working towards being an elite passer as well.
One can fully expect Newton to break every conceivable franchise record, as well as a few NFL ones, as he continues to lead the Panthers in the years to come.
