Blake Bortles hates ‘ugly’ Jaguars color rush uniforms

The Jacksonville Jaguars color rush uniforms are apparently an acquired taste. Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles hasn’t discovered the hidden goodness. In fact, he finds his team’s mustard-colored color rush uniforms repulsive and isn’t afraid to say so.

“I think somebody’s got to tell the truth, so I might as well be the first to say it: I think they’re ugly as hell,” Bortles said on a teleconference with Nashville media (h/t Mike DiRocco of ESPN.com). “I’m not a big fan of the mustard. I think they could have done a better job, and I think they should choose a different color.”

Well, someone did have to tell the truth.

Jacksonville’s color-rush scheme is ugly. It’s roughly the color of infant…well never mind. It’s just ugly.

Also, color rush uniforms, even the good ones, haven’t done a darn thing to improve the absolutely unwatchable spectacle that is Thursday Night Football. This week, we’re “treated” to the magnificent pairing of the Jags and Tennessee Titans. These two teams have a combined record of 5-8.

Rest assured, the action on the field will be just as ugly as those nasty looking uniforms.
