Arian Foster announces retirement from NFL

Arian Foster has played in his last NFL game. Writing an essay for Uninterrupted, the Miami Dolphins and former Houston Texans running back announced his retirement, explaining his decision in great detail.

Foster retires with 6,527 rushing yards and 54 touchdowns. He added 255 receptions for 2,346 yards and 14 touchdowns in the air. He made four Pro Bowls, was First-Team All Pro in 2010 and Second-Team All-Pro in 2011.

He went undrafted in the 2009 NFL Draft out of Tennessee, where he rushed for 3,464 yards and 23 touchdowns while catching 83 passes for 742 yards and two touchdowns from 2005-2008.

After the draft, Foster signed with the Texans shortly after. He remained in Houston through the 2015 season. In 2016, Foster signed with the Dolphins, where he finished his career.
