Down by one point late in the third quarter, the Washington Redskins pulled off a risky maneuver to convert a first down with a fake punt.
🚨 FAKE PUNT ALERT! 🚨
It's a PASS.
And a @Redskins first down. 😏 #HTTR #WASvsNYG https://t.co/Lt9Lrp0sUW— NFL (@NFL) September 25, 2016
This remarkable play was set up by another spectacular effort by tight end Jordan Reed. Catching a pass with one hand from Kirk Cousins well short of the sticks on a third down, he bullied his way past a few would-be tacklers to convert the first down.
What a one-handed catch by @Real_JordanReed!
And he'll break three tackles while he's at it. 💪 #WASvsNYG https://t.co/KrTk9Ijb1d

Washington used these two big plays to score three points on a field goal to take a two-point lead over the Giants, 26-24.
