It’s a well known fact that Christian McCaffrey is the most dynamic dual-threat running back in the nation, but USC’s defense forgot to cover him nevertheless on Saturday evening.
Running a simple wheel route out of the backfield, McCaffrey got loose for an easy 56-yard touchdown.

It’s beyond ridiculous that McCaffrey was so wide open. There wasn’t a defender within 15 yards of him when he hauled in the simple pitch and catch.
His easy score put Stanford up over its Pac 12 rival 7-0 in the first quarter.
