Report: Rockets trade Michael Beasley to the Bucks

Michael Beasley

With Khris Middleton now lost for an extended period of time after tearing his hamstring, the Milwaukee Bucks responded quickly to find a replacement.

According to The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Milwaukee has acquired former lottery pick Michael Beasley from the Houston Rockets in exchange for guard Tyler Ennis.

This is a somewhat strange move for both teams. Milwaukee had Jabari Parker already on the roster, an indication that the wing could have played a larger role with Middleton sidelined.

It’s also interesting that the Rockets would move on from Beasley in exchange for a deep bench option at point guard.

In Beasley, the Bucks nab a former first-round bust that returned to the NBA last season, performing pretty well for the Rockets in the process.

Beasley averaged 12.8 points and 4.9 rebounds in 20 games after signing with Houston. He also shot 52 percent from the field in an average of 18 minutes per game.
