Report: Dez Bryant could miss three weeks with hairline fracture

Dez Bryant Dallas Cowboys

When Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrrett indicated that star receiver Dez Bryant was day-to-day with a hairline fracture in his knee, some of us were taken aback.

Depending on the severity of the fracture, it’s an injury that can take an extended period of time to recover from. At the very least, Bryant surely wouldn’t be able to play less than a week after being diagnosed with said injury.

Optimism that Bryant might be able to go against the San Francisco 49ers may now be giving in to the reality of the situation.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter (h/t Pro Football Talk), Bryant could miss three weeks.

If this is the case, rookie quarterback Dak Prescott will surely be put in a less-than-stellar situation in Santa Clara on Sunday.

Not only is Dallas 0-6 without both Bryant ant Tony Romo over the past two-plus seasons, the former was set to have a huge game against a weak San Francisco defense.
