Glenn Gronkowski released by Buffalo Bills

Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

Glenn Gronkowksi — younger brother of New England Patriots superstar Rob Gronkowski — has been released by the Buffalo Bills.

The Bills announced the move on Tuesday. He’s being released so they have room to add fullback Jerome Felton back into the mix.

It’s hard to call this a true shocker. While Gronkowski made the team out of camp, he did so as an undrafted free agent. Those players often have vulnerable spots on the roster, especially early in the season.

Gronkowski did see time in Buffalo’s Week 1 loss at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens. In that 13-7 defeat, Gronkowski got on the field for eight plays.

A rookie out of Kansas State, Gronkowski signed with the Bills in May, following the draft.
