Tom Brady talks about likely routine during suspension

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has not missed a regular season game since the 2008 campaign.

Thanks to an NFL mandated suspension due to his alleged role in the “Deflategate” scandal, Brady will be watching his team play from home over the first four weeks of the regular season.

Speaking on the challenge that lies ahead when it comes to remaining prepared to start in Week 5, Brady shared this.

“I have ideas of what I need to do based on all the practices we’ve had and the limited playing time I’ve had,” Brady said per Mike Reiss of ESPN. “My goal is to come back and be the best I can be, just like every other year and every other offseason.”

Brady said that he is able to practice with his receivers up until the suspension. He also hopes that he can play in the team’s final preseason game on Thursday.

This might be the last time Brady fans see him until October 9th when the Patriots hit the road for a game against the Cleveland Browns.

In the meantime, the Patriots look to be in excellent shape with Jimmy Garoppolo under center to start. The third-year quarterback has looked in fine form thus far in the preseason.

Working with mostly with the first-team, Garoppolo completed has 66.7 percent of his passes for a total of 406 yards and one touchdown.

Brady’s hope is that when he comes back he will be a better player than he is now.

Because he is a complete health nut and follows a very strict regimen of exercise, sleep and mental preparation, we should not doubt Brady’s ability to do just that.
