‘No question’ Thomas Rawls will play Week 1 for Seahawks

While Seattle Seahawks running back Christine Michael has been lighting up the field during the preseason, Thomas Rawls has been quietly rehabbing from an ankle injury.

Finally, some news that Rawls’ fans would like to hear has come about. According to a report by Liz Mathews of 710 ESPN, head coach Pete Carroll shared this regarding Rawls’ health status.

“There’s no question he looks to be able to play in the opener.”

Rawls arrived to Seattle as an unsigned rookie free agent. He emerged as a go-to player when Marshawn Lynch missed time last year. He rushed for a total of 830 yards at a pace of 5.6 yards per carry and scored a total of five times in 13 games.

Unfortunately, Rawls sustained a season-ending broken ankle late in 2015.

It is indeed great to learn that Rawls looks to be in top form as the Seahawks season opener approaches. Although, he will have a much-improved Michael competing for touches this fall.

Fantasy football drafters might want to take note.
