Terrell Owens thinks he can help the Rams

Terrell Owens hasn’t played in a NFL game since 2010. He’s also 42 years old. Neither of that matters to the future Hall of Fame receiver.

He still thinks he can get it done at a high level on the NFL field, specifically for the Los Angeles Rams.

“I could insert myself somewhere strategically with a good offensive coordinator throughout the season,” Owens said on The Dan Patrick Show (h/t Pro Football Talk). “I would say anywhere (from) 800 to 1,000 (yards) and that’s on the shy side.”

Owens then went on to mention the Rams as a possibility. That would make some sense considering the Rams are completely void of talent at wide receiver and Owens himself currently resides in Southern California.

Still, we’re years removed from any thought of Owens actually taking to a NFL field again. He hasn’t suited up in six years, is on the wrong side of 40 and has had his fair share of transgressions in the past.

It’s nice to know Owens still thinks he can contribute. It’s also a belief that’s pretty much limited to himself.

Owens, a six-time Pro Bowl performer, ranks sixth in NFL history in receptions, second in receiving yards and third in receiving touchdowns.
