In what could be a major blow for the New England Patriots early in the season, it’s being reported that the team has suspended defensive tackle Alan Branch.
I'm told this is a team-based issue, not with the NFL. More details needed to learn complete context of situation. https://t.co/wQGyty6pOz

We don’t yet know what caused the Patriots to suspend Branch or what the length of said suspension is.
What we do know is that he’s an important part of what the team is attempting to do along its defensive front.
Branch, 31, started 15 games for the Patriots last season, recording 35 tackles and two forced fumbles in the process. Branch is currently listed as one of the Patriots’ two starting defensive tackles.
We will update this article when more information becomes available.
