Browns updated depth chart includes Terrelle Pryor as starter

Even with Josh Gordon making his first appearance on the Cleveland Browns official depth chart, quarterback-turned-receiver Terrelle Pryor is still showing up as a starter.

Following two consecutive stellar outings to open the preseason, it’s becoming increasingly obvious that Pryor’s transition to receiver has been incredibly smooth.

In fact, the former Ohio State quarterback burned Pro Bowl corner Desmond Trufant for a 50-yard touchdown on Friday.

Looking like he’s found a solid relationship with Robert Griffin III, there’s a decent chance Pryor could be a breakout star for the Browns this season.

With Gordon slated to be suspended the first four games of the season, Pryor will get his opportunity to start opposite rookie first-round pick Corey Coleman.

That fact that Pryor is still ahead of Andrew Hawkins, Taylor Gabriel and Marlon Moore should tell us what we need to know about his performance this summer.

It’s also an indication that no other pass catcher has really stepped up in Browns camp. That’s the harsh reality of the situation for Griffin III in his first season with the Browns.

At the very least, it does appear the two might very well be prepared to present us with some fireworks moving forward.
