Le’Veon Bell posts, then deletes, video admitting he smoked pot after arrest

Le’Veon Bell really tried to be a stand-up guy. He posted a video on Twitter Friday in which he apologized for his three-game suspension.

He sent the message to fans apologizing for his suspension, saying he “never purposely missed any drug tests, I never failed any drug tests, and I haven’t smoked since December 2014. I want you to understand that,” per Pro Football Talk’s Darin Gantt.

But as of Saturday the video was taken down.

Now why in the world would he post an apology video and then quickly take it down, you might ask?

As pointed out by Michael David Smith of PFT, Bell admitted in the video that he actually continued to smoke pot for four months after he was arrested for possessing marijuana and landed a DUI in the process.

Needless to say, Bell’s assurances to fans that he’s not going to fall on his face again might fall on deaf ears at this point.

Blessed with more NFL talent in his pinkie finger than many players trying to make rosters this summer, Bell could potentially become a Steelers legend. But if he continues to play games like this, he might become a league pariah instead.
