James Harrison knows how to hold a grudge.

The Pittsburgh Steelers veteran outside linebacker, along with Julius Peppers and Clay Matthews of the Green Bay Packers, was cleared by the NFL after its investigation into allegations he took HGH came back with no credible evidence to support the claims (read more here).

Headlines across the nation touted this as breaking news, which seemed to irk Harrison.

He responded with a rather salty Instagram post.

“It’s only breaking news because you thought I was guilty. I have my father’s name and I have WORKED for EVERYTHING I have since DAY ONE,” Harrison wrote.

To be fair, given some of Harrison’s workout routines (check out this crazy lift) it’s only fair to wonder if he’s been doing something “special” to keep his 38-year-old body in shape.

That said, we all knew the NFL’s investigation was nothing more than a sham. The primary witness in Al Jazeera’s report recanted his claims not long after the report came out (watch here).

And nobody who was implicated had failed any drug tests. Period.

The NFL also flexed its muscles in an unfortunate way, plowing ahead with the investigations despite any evidence. Furthermore the league utilized the threat of suspensions to players who refused to agree to an interview.

With that in mind, Harrison has good reason to bark after finally being vindicated and cleared on Wednesday.
