Minor league player hits grand slam into windshield of his own truck

The price tag on success isn’t cheap. Just ask minor-leaguer Brandon Thomas, who plays for the independent Frontier League Gateway Grizzlies. He hit a grand slam Sunday night that ended up landing on and smashing up his own windshield.

Sam Levitt, a sports broadcaster who covers the Grizzlies, also made a point of mentioning that Thomas’ truck was parked well beyond the outfield fence, saying “This was a moonshot.”

For his part, Thomas doesn’t seem to tore up about having to pay for a new windshield.

If he’s lucky, maybe Thomas will earn a minor endorsement deal for his feat of strength.
