The Oakland Raiders and San Francisco 49ers are reaching out to help victims of the devastating fires in Lake County, California.

“The Raiders and 49ers are donating $10,000 each to aid in the Lake County Clayton Fire recovery efforts, the teams announced Thursday,” via Paul Gutierrez, ESPN. “Per a press release from the Raiders, the funds from the $20,000 joint donation will go to support the school’s efforts to rebuild fields and restore sports equipment at Lower Lake High School lost in the fire.”

This is a nice goodwill gesture on the part of both franchises, trying to help the surrounding area. For the second year in a row, Lake County has been dealing with awful fires. This one was allegedly caused by arson. The alleged arsonist has been arrested.

Lake County is approximately 120 miles away from both Oakland and San Francisco.
