Report: Buccaneers owners upset by Miko Grimes’ anti-Semitic comments

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Miko Grimes is at it again. She made anti-Semitic remarks about how Stephen Ross was employing his buddies. It was classless and rude. But it was also completely tone-deaf and ignorant of the fact that the Glazers — the Tampa Bay Buccaneers owners — are a Jewish family.

Jason Cole of Bleacher Report reported that the Glazers are livid about the remarks that Miko made about Ross in Miami.

Despite her resolve that owners are always out to get her husband, Pro Bowl cornerback Brent Grimes, the fact of the matter is that she doesn’t have any tact with her comments. NFL owners don’t want to deal with any sort of negativity around their franchise, and she is a true pot-stirrer.

If the Buccaneers were to cut Brent because of Miko’s behavior, it wouldn’t come as a shock. Heck, that’s exactly why Grimes was released in Miami (more on that here).

Adding in anti-Semitic remarks to the other stunts that Miko has pulled throughout the years, including her arrest for assault, she has turned herself into someone that teams do not want to be associated with. Considering eight NFL teams (including all three of the teams that Brent has been employed by) have Jewish owners, she is making her own husband’s job security less secure with her comments.

Back to said comments, they were deplorable. They were clearly anti-semitic. And the fact that she can’t see them as such shows just how little self-awareness she possesses.
