Bryce Harper: Mood depends on how good hair looks

Bryce Harper is one of the most annoying MLB players today

Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper wants to make baseball fun again, but his willingness to put forth the effort might vary from day to day.

Why is this, you ask? Harper — perhaps with tongue in cheek, perhaps not — sent out a message to his Instagram followers that suggests a bad hair day could send him spiraling into a funk.

“My mood depends on how good my hair looks!?”

Truly, the picture Harper chose for this message couldn’t be more appropriate. He seems upset that this is a reality for him — a sad, sad reality.

Really, though. When was the last time we saw Harper actually have a bad hair day? With that in mind, rejoice!

Then again, baseball’s ambassador for fun hasn’t exactly been red hot from the plate this year, which is probably a better reason to be upset. Batting just .253, he’s converting at the lowest rate of his MLB career, though his power numbers are still in good standing with 19 home runs and 52 RBI.

On the flip side, the Nats are comfortably sitting in first place in the National League East, six games ahead of the New York Mets and Miami Marlins heading into the second half of the season.
