Von Miller hasn’t talked to John Elway since Super Bowl ring ceremony

While in participation at a football camp for kids, Denver Broncos linebacker, Super Bowl MVP Von Miller took a few minutes talk with 104.3, The Fan regarding his contract status with the team.

Among various topics of conversation, Miller told Big Al and DMAC that the last time he talked to John Elway was at the Broncos ring ceremony.

At this time, Miller says he is taking the whole process about reaching a long-term contract with Denver “one day at at time” and that he trusts in his agent and the Broncos that deal will get done.

Recently, Miller said that he cannot see himself playing with a different team. Although, he has also declared that there is “no chance” he plans to play under his franchise tender in 2016 (more on that here).

Miller reportedly turned down a Broncos’ offer that would have guaranteed him $58 million for injury for his first three years. He is instead reportedly holding out for a deal that would pay him closer to $70 million in guarantees.

Besides Miller’s current contract impasse with the Broncos, he seemed thrilled to be working at the youth football camp and called attending such an event a “blessing.”

July 15 is the deadline for Miller either to sign off on his franchise tag or come to terms with the Broncos on an offer.

There will be more to follow on this story as it unravels in the upcoming days. In the meantime, it is great to see Miller spending time with today’s youth.
