Baltimore Ravens defensive lineman Carl Davis gave his mother a sweet Sunday surprise over the weekend in the form of a brand new BMW.

He caught her completely off guard, showing up to his hometown unannounced and waiting for her to come out of church. And the best thing is Davis caught the whole thing on tape.

He shared the heart-warming experience on his Instagram account.

“Thank God for putting me in this position to surprise my mom with a new car today,” he wrote.

Davis was a third-round selection by Baltimore in the 2015 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year deal last year worth just under $3 million, but only $625,084 (his rookie year) was fully guaranteed.

Last year he was stuck with a huge rookie dinner bill, which totaled well over $11,000. Thankfully this time around his money was spent on something a bit more meaningful, and on an item that will have a long-lasting effect.

In his first year, Davis made enough of an impression as a rookie to appear in 13 games, starting two. He tallied 11 tackles and defended two passes.
