Former Seattle Seahawks fullback Derrick Coleman has been charged with felony hit and run and vehicular assault. As a result, he could be facing 12-14 months in jail, per Stephen Cohen of seattlepi.com.

Coleman, now an NFL free agent, was suspended indefinitely by the Seahawks last October when he was initially arrested for hit and run. This past January there was a battle of words between Police, who recommended charges, and Coleman’s lawyer, who said the 101-page report filed by the Police was “slanderous and inaccurate.”

Now it appears he’ll have a chance to prove it in court. Drugs and alcohol weren’t thought to be a part of the accident, and Coleman’s attorney argued in January that his client was suffering from a concussion and didn’t knowingly leave the scene.
