WATCH: Jacob Tamme reads mean tweets after being voted most hated man in NFL

A recent poll conducted by SiriusXM NFL Radio turned out a surprise result.

After receiving over 2,600 votes, Atlanta Falcons tight end Jacob Tamme was elected the NFL player you most “love to hate.” Tamme beat out Tom Brady, Cam Newton and Richard Sherman by receiving 40 percent of the votes.

Taking the silliness of the poll in stride, Tamme took to the internet to read the mean tweets that stemmed in regards to the poll.

The worst by far is that we had to listen to Tamme sing Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up.”

If you’re just tuning in to this story, Tamme was entered into the poll by a fan that reportedly hated watching him catch passes in Indianapolis when fellow tight end Dallas Clark was sidelined with injuries, per the report.

Talk about rehashing the past. It’s time for that fan to build a bridge and get over it.

Tamme’s stealing touchdowns from Clark was apparently enough to beat out the key Deflategate subject a post-Super Bowl meltdown and a rant.

At the very least, we got to see Tamme’s sharp and witty sense of humor. We also learned that he has no idea who actress Jennifer Lawrence is.
