Photo: Johnny Manziel’s lawyer wears giant cowboy hat to court

Accompanying Johnny Manziel to his mandated court appearance in Dallas, Johnny’s lawyer looked like he was more prepared for a rodeo than a hearing.

Nevertheless, Manziel and attorney Robert Hinton were in court only for a brief amount of time when Judge Robert Canas stated his conditions for Manziel’s bail release, per NFL.com.

According to the report, Manziel is not to have any contact with his ex-girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, and he cannot possess any firearms. He’ll appear back in court on June 24 for a “status hearing.”

Manziel has been charged for allegedly threatening to kidnap and kill Crowley as well as hitting her hard enough to rupture her eardrum.

The Cleveland Browns released Manziel in March and he is currently a free agent in the NFL. It remains to be determined if Manziel will face any type of punishment from the league if he is found guilty of these misdemeanor charges.
