Antonio Brown betters Combine time with 4.35 40-yard dash

Antonio Brown can fly. The Pittsburgh Steelers receiver hasn’t been slowed down by age, or even an appearance on Dancing With the Stars.

If anything, those experiences have made Brown faster.

Brown ran a 4.47 40-yard dash at the 2010 Scouting Combine. On Monday evening, Brown tweeted his most recent 40 time that not only beats that 4.47 mark, but blows it away.

Impressive.

This goes to show not only how hard of a worker Brown is, but how elusive he is on the field. Having been in the NFL for six seasons and never missing a regular season game, Brown has certainly been susceptible to taking big hits. Remember, Brown is not only a receiver, but also spends a lot of time returning punts and has returned kicks.

While he’s obviously taken a few big hits (Vontaze Burfict), Brown has obviously not taken enough to significantly slow him down.

This news begs one question. If Brown is getting faster, is it possible that he’s going to be even better?

Given that Brown has caught 265 passes for over 3,500 yards and 23 touchdowns over the last two seasons, that’s an awfully scary thought for fans of the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, and the rest of Pittsburgh’s opponents.
