In February, Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Justin Houston had surgery to repair his ACL. Afterwards, it was reported that the surgery could put Houston in jeopardy of missing the 2016 season.
Though, this positive news from Houston’s doctors looks encouraging:

It was reported originally that Houston could miss anywhere between six months and a year while he recovered from his surgery. The best-case scenario would be Houston could return sometime in August.
If Houston is progressing ahead of schedule as his doctors have indicated, the Chiefs are surely sighing some relief.
Houston suffered a down season in 2015 when he posted only 7.5 sacks and 30 combined tackles in 11 games. It was his spectacular 2014 campaign when Houston recorded a career-high 22 sacks and 68 total tackles that earned him a monster six-year, $101 million deal.
Despite Houston’s knee injury and lackluster season, the Kansas City Chiefs (11-5) made it to two the divisional round of the playoffs after pulling it together and winning 10 consecutive games.
Hopefully, Houston will be back on course to wreak havoc on opposing teams this season.
