Rawlings makes hilarious mistake with Phil Hughes’ glove

Phil Hughes wore No. 65 with the Yankees until 2013. When he signed with the Minnesota Twins in 2014, Hughes switched his number to 45. Apparently nobody at Rawlings — the company who supplies Hughes with his glove — got the memo.

Perhaps Hughes is looking at this the wrong way. It might be that the fine folks at Rawlings are testing him, as Philippians 4:13, the Bible verse cited on the glove, says “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

That would include forgiving the folks at Rawlings for messing up the glove. Actually, the best thing for Hughes to do for Rawlings would be to convince Trevor May to switch numbers with him, making Hughes No. 65 again.
