LeBron James on fixing offense: ‘It’s not like instant oatmeal’

LeBron James

The Cleveland Cavaliers are a work in progress. If they’re going to win an NBA Championship in 2016, their offense has a long way to go. If you don’t believe with that assessment, have a look at what LeBron James had to say.

Well, it may not be like instant oatmeal, but it better be a relatively quick process for the Cavaliers. They’re still the top team in the Eastern Conference, but the competition is much deeper than its been at any point in LeBron’s career.

Over the last five years, his teams have had a fairly simple path to at least the conference finals. That is no longer the case.

If they do make it through the east, the Cavs will still likely have to beat the Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs, or Oklahoma City, who are all more than capable of putting up big point totals.

Cleveland’s offense might well be a work in progress, but there’s not that much time left to improve. If they don’t, the 2015-16 season has a realistic chance at finishing in incredibly disappointing fashion.
