Josh Norman burns Rodney Harrison, who said he’d hurt Cam Newton

Rodney Harrison made headlines when he said he would try and hurt Cam Newton to take him out of the Super Bowl. Carolina Panthers cornerback Josh Norman had an epic response when asked about Harrison’s comments:

Harrison said he said he’d take Newton out of the game and said he’d shoot for his knees to make it happen. One of the dirtiest players of his generation, Harrison is still stuck in that same, twisted mindset in which he’d rather win against a short-handed team than win fair and square.

As for Norman’s comment, it doesn’t get much better than that.

Remember, David Tyree burned Harrison in Super Bowl XLII with one of the most improbable receptions in the history of the league. His helmet catch gave the New York Giants life on a third-and-five with just over a minute left to play.

Shortly afterwards Eli Manning hit Plaxico Burress for the game-winning touchdown, keeping the New England Patriots from finishing a perfect season.

For all his efforts, dirty or otherwise, Harrison couldn’t knock that ball loose from Tyree, who held on with one arm and a helmet.
