To say that DeMarco Murray never really found his niche with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2015 would be an understatement.
This is why ex-teammate Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant would like to see Murray return to Dallas. Bryant sent a tweet, which appears to be lobbying for support from teammates Tony Romo and Jason Witten to jump on the same bandwagon to pursue Murray.

After an unsuccessful campaign that saw Murray tally only 1,024 total yards and seven touchdowns, it is obvious he wasn’t the perfect fit for the job in Philly. Furthermore, Dallas could use an upgrade over Darren McFadden, who is always just one fall away from a lingering or season-ending injury.
Granted, Murray’s pricey $40 million contract that has four years remaining certainly would be a sticking point for Dallas — or any team that might have interest in Murray.
According NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Murray has not sought a trade or a release, and the Eagles do not seem interested in moving him. Coincidentally, per Rapoport, Murray is in the process of building a new house in Dallas.
Should Murray make his way back to the Cowboys, he definitely must be willing to do restructure his current deal. If the Cowboys didn’t want to pony up the big bucks for him last year, why would they now — especially after Murray’s down season?
As for Bryant, this tweet likely won’t be the end of his efforts in campaigning for a “D.Moe” return.
