Victor Cruz’s New York City photo shoot literally stops traffic

New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz never hit the playing field in the 2015 season, but he still knows how to get the attention of the Big Apple.

However, he turned heads in a different way than we’re used to seeing when he and Mr. Flawless, a celebrity jeweler, took to the streets of New York City to stage a photo shoot.

According to a report by TMZ Sports, Cruz and Mr. Flawless set up a large camping tent, complete with camping chairs and wood for a fire right in the center of New York City’s busy 6th Avenue. Traffic was diverted to move around scene and drivers and cabbies were clearly irritated by the delay. While the guys posed for the shoot, much honking and many obscenities could be heard.

Fortunately, it looks like the photographers got their glamour shots without too many takes, allowing the camping scene to be quickly disassembled so the traffic could flow.

It should be interesting to see where Cruz’s photos will appear. Hopefully, the next time we see the wide receiver in action is when he hits the practice field this spring.

Cruz missed most of the 2014 NFL season after sustaining a torn patellar tendon in Week 6. And, due to other lingering injuries, Cruz was absent for the entire 2015 season.
